Great plot but…. Petty political views

When he stays on point and not delving in left wing political agendas he is great. Really Russia collusion still after 5 years. May not be able to finish a great novel. The dig at the Texas senator was petty. But at least you have your woke status. I have read all your novels but the last two were below your usual standards.

Great writer on a wonderful subject

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I highly recommend this author and book for a wonderful glimpse of one of the most important figures of the 20th century. My wife and I listened to it on a trip to D.C. and paused it often to discuss Pope John Paul and the events he grew up in and was involved in. Peggy Noonan gives a intimate approach to the greatest person in my lifetime. She brings her own life into the telling the biography of the most famous and well traveled Pope in Catholic history. A good read for anyone and a must read or all Catholics.

Pope John Paul is the main subject matter. Peggy Noonan's life is woven through out the subject.
What about Peggy Noonan’s performance did you like?
Intimately involved with her subject.
