Story
Sam and Sadie—two college friends, often in love, but never lovers—become creative partners in a dazzling and intricately imagined world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy, tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality. It is a love story, but not one you have heard before.

Beautiful but Sad
Reviewed: 12-23-24
There is no happy ending, I kinda hate books with realistic endings because well I already live in the real world and I can watch the news to hear more about the truth. I did like the insight into gaming and design. I liked the honestly if the incredibly toxic relationship the MC has early on. It was reckless and stupid and put her in real danger but that is exactly what a 20 something year old does.
The other MC was frustrating but also believable. He did not grow up or change until he was forced to.

Story
Melody Gallard may be the daughter of music royalty, but her world is far from glamorous. She spends her days restoring old books and avoiding the limelight (one awkward tabloid photo was enough, thanks). But when a producer offers her a lot of money to reunite her mother’s band on live tv, Mel begins to wonder if it’s time to rattle the cage, shake up her quiet life…and see him again. The only other person who could wrangle the rock and roll divas.

The perfect romcom with hints of the holidays sprinkled in. I tried to explain it to my husband, but it is a romcom, it has a solid plot and nicely developed character, and it happens to have smut, really good smut. It's the perfect romantic read.

Reviewed: 09-29-17
Honestly I liked the book, it's not bad but can seem a little frustrating or outlandish. It is different to the average Cancer book. It repeatedly states that one should not say "choose life" or other ridiculous phrases of that nature.

An historic literary event: the publication of a newly discovered novel, the earliest known work from Harper Lee, the beloved, best-selling author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning classic To Kill a Mockingbird. Originally written in the mid-1950s, Go Set a Watchman was the novel Harper Lee first submitted to her publishers before To Kill a Mockingbird. Assumed to have been lost, the manuscript was discovered in late 2014.

a bad, good, strange, crazy lifetime movie. the kind you start moving your mother for watching while you grab a peanut butter and jelly from the kitchen and then it traps you....you get caught up in the web, by the end you are nodding thinking... hmm that wasn't so bad. you'll think about it days later, still insisting it was only ok. then finally you will suffer out long enough and buy the second book too.
