I loved the quiet, deliberate pacing of this novel. The setting and heroine are very different from my usual reads and I want to find out what happens to her quest now that an earlier mystery is solved.

I love this series and hope to see many more books in the future. The main character is quiet, unassuming, and a pleasure to watch as she carefully picks through the tangled strands of the story to find the truth. I enjoy the past/present stories.

Story
“You shouldn’t be here. It’s too late....” These, heard over the phone, were the last recorded words of successful celebrity-divorce lawyer Richard Pryce, found bludgeoned to death in his bachelor pad with a bottle of wine - a 1982 Chateau Lafite worth £3,000, to be precise. Odd, considering he didn’t drink. Why this bottle? And why those words? And why was a three-digit number painted on the wall by the killer? And, most importantly, which of the man’s many, many enemies did the deed?

With extraordinary access to the West Wing, Michael Wolff reveals what happened behind-the-scenes in the first nine months of the most controversial presidency of our time in Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House. Since Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States, the country—and the world—has witnessed a stormy, outrageous, and absolutely mesmerizing presidential term that reflects the volatility and fierceness of the man elected Commander-in-Chief.

OMFG!
Reviewed: 01-23-18
Would you listen to Fire and Fury again? Why?
First of all, I have to say that I'm a lifelong Democrat. That being said, if even half of what was recounted in this book is true, the current administration is even worse than I'd thought and I'd thought it was pretty bad.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Fire and Fury?
When I agreed with Steve Bannon's characterization of Donald Trump.
Have you listened to any of Holter Graham and Michael Wolff ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No
Any additional comments?
It makes me think of the quote: “We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful.”

What made the experience of listening to IQ the most enjoyable?
Normally I listen to calm, English detective mysteries so this was a little out of my comfort zone but it really grabbed me. The narrator is fantastic!
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Multiple storylines kept the plot changing but each change revealed a little more about the others.
Any additional comments?
Have listened to both in the series; hope there are many more.

Story
Detective Carl Morck has received a bottle that holds an old and decayed message written in blood. It's a cry for help from two young brothers, tied and bound in a boathouse by the sea. After floating in the ocean for years before turning up, the bottle sat forgotten, unopened, on a police department windowsill, before the seal was cracked and the gruesome message, written in Danish, was analyzed. Could it be real? Who are these boys, and why weren't they reported missing? Could they possibly still be alive?

Lacey Terwilliger's shock and humiliation over her husband's philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass e-mail to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town and a media punch line....
