Standard warcraft fare.

I enjoyed this for what it is. Go in expecting the kind of storytelling we've grown accustomed to with Warcraft novels. Jumping between characters, character development that was only implied to be happening in the game. And a large amount of justification that, despite this, lends itself to an interesting story.

Story
Sam Ryder's life already sucks, and it's about to get worse when he's fired from his dead-end job as a programmer. He's about to head home to escape into his favorite RPG, Alien Civilization, when he's offered a thrill ride on a death machine by a gorgeous woman straight out of one of his games. Before Sam can say "WTF?", he's been whisked away to a dark world of monsters and goddesses, his body transformed from Outcast to Warrior, the second level on a ladder that may eventually carry him all the way to Demigod.

Fun fluff
Reviewed: 01-15-20
This is a story written from the fantasies of shut in. It is enjoyable fluff at best. It really feels like an author insert character living out both his dreams and nightmares at the same time. Don't expect anything deep. That being said it is still an enjoyable listen.
