Essential view of the savior of the world
Reviewed: 12-30-24
This was a wonderful and neutral view of the last days of Jesus Christ. I appreciated the background and visual descriptions of those leaders and dignitaries of the time. It helped me to understand how everything came together and gave me a better view of the accounts in the Bible.

Story
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

I appreciated this insight into the life and personality of our Vice President Elect. So much respect for JD, Usha, and everything that he went through to get where he is today.

I lost my concentration and the story ended up not making much sense… lots of strange words later it was the end. I’ll need to listen again.

Story
They call it the Bone Box. A collection of old cases, solved and unsolved, that continue to haunt forensic pathologist Birdy Waterman. None is more disturbing than the first. After two decades, Birdy still remembers the screaming. The blood on the boy's hands. The body of a girl, butchered in the woods. Birdy's testimony helped put her own cousin behind bars. It was a sacrifice for what she thought was right - but now, 20 years later, she wants to reopen the box.

I thought it was a fun and easy listen, the story kept me engaged. Not one of those books that I would listen to over and over again, but good to hear once.

Story
Zak George is a new type of dog trainer. His fresh approach puts a strong emphasis on the relationship with the individual dog - informed by breed-specific traits - allowing people to treat the root cause of behavior issues rather than the symptoms and teach their dogs faster without the use of punishments or stress. For the first time, George has distilled all the information from his hundreds of videos into one master guide.

Zak George is simply the best!

I agree wholeheartedly with everything Zak teaches. He has such a gift, not only working with dogs, but also teaching humans! I bet Zak would do a great job writing a book on how to raise children!! He’s amazing and this detailed book will not disappoint! Especially when coupled with Zak’s online (free) YouTube training videos. By far the best dog training/raising guide I have ever encountered.
