I've read every Robert B. Parker and all the since his death. Many of the writers have put their own spin on the characters some sucess. Never in the long history of Parker did ever continually he insult the reader and media. If you are full blown liberal you might like the shot at people who don't believe the way he does. Mike Lupice is a liberal and made sure you knew it and he much smarter than you. He might have pulled this off but after the third insult, I returned this title. He made very unenjoyable.

Might be done with this Series

This series has become something completely different then what it was a few years ago. Coleman has made it his series which some people might like but it not for me. 80 pages or so about Jesse's problems just got old.

Nice story but could have been better

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

It not a thriller as I think that what author wanted. Was not a great read either but might try another someday.

The time of the reader's presentation of material.

Hard to say but not my favorite reader also might not buy another book if he was the reader.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Collared?

Most of the first 50 pages as it was real slow.

Great book if your into this guy opinons

Could have been much better but could not get pass the first chapter as the author told you the liberal agenda.

Just Because of the Movie

What disappointed you about Never Go Back?

Too long to set the story.

Has Never Go Back turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes

Would you be willing to try another one of Dick Hill’s performances?

Not at this time.

What character would you cut from Never Go Back?

One of the great lines from this book was from the CO of the base, "Is there another parking lot on the other side of the building?" Go figure that one.

I swore off this series after the last mess, my fault.

What would have made Robert B. Parker's Debt to Pay better?

Story line was not topical to anything that Parker would have written. To be truthful this was much more like a Steven King book.

Something fun.

He didn't have much to work with.

It doesn't matter it not a Parker book.

I really don't know how good of bad this book is, what it is, is Robert B Parker characters and put them a different authors book.

What was most disappointing about Clive Cussler and Justin Scott ’s story?

If you follow the series they are all the same. I tried to return it but was outside the time limit. My fault.

What didn’t you like about Scott Brick’s performance?

It getting hard and harder to listen to him and not think of other books.

Way Too Long

Yes

What do you think your next listen will be?

A Parker book or Ace Atkins.

What didn’t you like about Dick Hill’s performance?

Not so much him as just hours of details that were not needed. I stop listening to the ABC murder books awhile back for the same reason.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Hard Way?

The middle 10 hours.

12-14 hours of book less that 3 minutes of action. Not his best effort still going on to the next book it got to be better.

Feeling cold when reading about the island.

Spenser

Hawk and Spenser in Florida.

I wish I would not read about the story line from Audible before reading the book. Too much was given away in the description of book made for a long book and was not as enjoyable as his other books.
