Story
Cancel culture is a new phenomenon, and The Canceling of the American Mind is the first book to codify it and survey its effects, including hard data and research on what cancel culture is and how it works, along with hundreds of new examples showing the left and right both working to silence their enemies.

She flies through the material. Much of it I had to listen to twice because she sounds like she's reading her college book report to a classroom. I just couldn't catch all of it the first time through. Really glad she wrote the book, but it would have benefited from a different reader.

Story
The definitive history of Peter Jackson’s Middle-earth saga, Anything You Can Imagine takes us on a cinematic journey across all six films, featuring brand-new interviews with Peter, his cast and his crew. From the early days of daring to dream it could be done, through the highs and lows of making the films, to fan adoration and, finally, Oscar glory.

The reader was constantly swallowing and audibly fidgeting. Was very hard to pay attention to the story.

Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, and Ebenezer Scrooge come to marvelous life in Patrick Stewart's critically-acclaimed solo interpretation of A Christmas Carol. The star of X-Men and The Royal Shakespeare Company, Stewart has performed his one-man stage production of this holiday classic to sell-out audiences.

I love Patrick Stewart but find it pretty reprehensible that such a short piece of work as this classic tale has been shortened for this presentation. I prefer the Jim Dale version.

Story
The final book in the Michael Vey series opens with the Electroclan facing a devastating loss: Michael is missing. He made the ultimate sacrifice to save his friends, and now he's gone. What is next for them and the revolution? The battle on the island of Hades ended with a devastating explosion that left the island a smoking ruin and much of Hatch's army dead. However, Hatch survived, and while his plans have certainly suffered a setback, he's more determined than ever to bring the world's governments under his control.

What a journey.
This series has been a fun and entertaining jaunt for the past several years and my biggest complaint is that it's finally over! I'm grateful to have a proper conclusion, but in my opinion it's very anticlimactic that Michael cornered Hatch and killed him. Hatch has in many ways been as equally important a character as Michael throughout this story, and it seems somewhat as a betrayal that our hero is the one to do the deed. In my opinion the only person who could have killed Hatch was Hatch, via suicide, likely running from Michael. This villain deserved a better ending.
