What a delightful book. Mrs. Streisand reads this book as if she were right in front of you telling you all the stories of her life with sincerity, spontaneity, truth and a lot of charm. 48 hours went like a breeze. I loved it.

Extraordinaria historia con giros inesperados a lo largo de todo el libro y una excelente interpretación del narrador.

Wonderful adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s classic Graphic Novel

Great performances by an all-star cast, immersive sound design, wonderful music and a very good adaptation of the original material.

I believe some listeners that have rated this audio book poorly, do not understand or are not familiar with the format of the original source material.

First, it is essential to understand that these stories come from a groundbreaking graphic novel. Some people are complaining about the intro theme music (which I loved) being played repeatedly every time a new chapter began. I actually find this to be a good choice, since some of the stories are self contained (that was also the case when the comics were originally published), and the intro helps to separate one story from the other clearly.

It is a full-cast production, so I think people who are used to the traditional one-narrator-only audio book format might find it different, but I really think that’s a treat for the listener, specially for this price, being a star filled cast. Most of the performances are top notch and I find it is a great asset for the adaptation of the material. By the way, James McAvoy was, in my opinion, the perfect choice to play Morpheus.

Finally, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was Neil Gaiman himself that played the narrator. He does a splendid job. His voice is both pleasant, enigmatic and enthralling.

In conclusion: I loved it!
