Would you listen to A Gathering of Shadows again? Why?

Yes! And I have! this book perfectly creates a perfect continuation of character development. The more times I listen to it the more perfect tidbits I find. I will be walking my dog, and start smiling because I love some parts to much.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Gathering of Shadows?

All the amazing dialog, and the relationship between Kell and Delilah and Rhy. and Holland. All of it. Weirdly, I also think back on the perfectly depressing moments with Kell. This book has changed the way I write, and the way i think about things.

Which scene was your favorite?

Oh God, um.... Is all of it ok? I love the end, the beginning, the middle, but especially the scene at the beginning with the fight behind the bar. It was emotional, action packed, and showed how the first book effected both characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! and the third time around I did! I was just walking around listening to it.

Any additional comments?

The narration wasn't great, but that might be because I read the first book in print and I have already developed a voice for the characters. Other then that, I have no complaints. V. E. Shwab is a amazing writer and I can't wait to see what she does next.

If you could sum up The Death Cure in three words, what would they be?

Um.. Probably your average third book. I mean it wasn't a book that was so bad that I couldn't finish it, but it is so disappointing to me to have such an amazing author write such a frankly average book.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The thing is, this book seemed anti-climax. It just pulls itself out, and when it ended I started to wonder if something happened because I thought that James Dasher would pull through with a surprisingly amazing ending. It just... faded out.

What does Mark Deakins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mark Deakins really gave the characters a voice that a printed book could. I would totally listen to another one of his... Things? Performances? Anyways he did a great job.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Lots of it would have, but I just never really got enough into it to continue on my emotional connection to the character. I read the first two books, and started to love all the characters, especially in The Scorch Trials.

Any additional comments?

James Dasher is a amazing author, and I have read almost all his books, but this book seemed like he just wanted this trilogy to end already. At least I was ok with it all ending. I'm not saying it is a bad book, but I had to force myself to finish it. Maybe just ask a friend who has read it how it ends.

What made the experience of listening to Six of Crows the most enjoyable?

The set of characters in this book was remarkable AND THEY ARE ALL AMAZING. Also, the narration of this book is so brilliant, it feels as if they are telling the story. AND THE PLOT. One of my favorite ideas for a book EVER. I like that the plot has more of a selfish side. it's refreshing.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Kaz all the way. I love that you start out not liking him, but by the last chapter, Leigh Bardugo worked some magic. It's also interesting to have little hints at his past without knowing the whole thing, or anything. It was actually frustrating to be in the dark for so long, but in the end... All worth it.

Which scene was your favorite?

The first official chapter. It was the perfect set up for the book. The chapter makes a cool little preview at the characters that the book revolves around. OH, and Jesper is important. I thought he wasn't, forgot about him, and was confused when he came back up.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!!!! ABSOLUTELY. it was nearly the end of me. In a good way.

Any additional comments?

To everyone in the whole world, YOU SHOULD READ THIS BOOK. You don't need to read her first grisha books, I actually hated them and it never even comes in handy. I listened to Six of Crows first, and it was still easy to understand. This was a real come around in my eyes for Leigh Bardugo after the grisha trilogy which I HATE. Also you can trust me, I recommend this book to everyone. I know it looks to good to be true, but... it is true. it's hard to read anything after such a amazing book, but do it for the thrill. ;)

I thought that this book would be better. It did have a good ending but her new book, six of crows, was much better. A waste of time and money.
