Josephine Bailey really adds to this story!

I adored this series and I'm especially appreciative of Josephine Bailey. Her narration was wonderful. Every character had their own distinct personality, and their voice seemed to really fit the character. As for the story itself I enjoyed it. I found Gemma to be frustrating at times, I wish she did more on purpose. I would have liked her to be smarter with her decisions and I feel as though she didn't have a plan for anything that happened, she simply dealt with the windfall of others actions. It is a beautiful and crazy world that Libba Bray has created and I enjoyed my time in it nonetheless.

Story
With all of the pluck and charm of its eponymous young hero, Rachel McAdams (The Notebook, Spotlight, Midnight in Paris) delivers a spectacular reading of Montgomery's beloved bildungsroman. In moments both funny and bittersweet, McAdams' voice is imbued with the spark that has made Anne a much-loved symbol of individualism and cheer for over a century.

As a first exposure to the series I loved this

Would you consider the audio edition of Anne of Green Gables to be better than the print version?
I haven't tried to read the print version just yet so I cannot say.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the innocent, fantastical, dramatic Anne and how she changes the dull lives of the people around her.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I listened to the majority of this book on a 10-hour overnight shift and was happy to do so until the earbuds started to hurt my ears and I was forced to remove them.
Any additional comments?
I loved Rachel McAdams' narration on this story and felt like she fit the book well.
