I really enjoyed this book; also the narrator was fantastic. The characters were unique and I found myself caring about their outcomes. I really dis not want this story to end. Nice balance of speculative science and human plot-lines. I will definitely read the next SF by Dixon

Story
Piranesi lives in the House. Perhaps he always has. In his notebooks, day after day, he makes a clear and careful record of its wonders: the labyrinth of halls, the thousands upon thousands of statues, the tides that thunder up staircases, the clouds that move in slow procession through the upper halls. On Tuesdays and Fridays Piranesi sees his friend, the Other. At other times he brings tributes of food to the Dead. But mostly, he is alone.

I suspect readers will either live or hate this book. I adored it. I was transfixed and never wanted it to end. The ekphrasis and world creation; the stunning visuals evokes, the characters...everything gorgeous Ejiofor’s voice is rich and nuanced and his pacing well suited the cadence and tempo of the writing.
