Story
When Sienna Walker is nearly fired from the NYPD, the last thing she expects is a second chance in the one place she vowed never to return to. But she can’t afford to turn down the job offer, even if a painful familial past and a broken engagement hardly make Reno, Nevada, home sweet home. It’s made even less sweet by Sienna’s first case—a serial killer with a curious fixation on her. Along with his victims, the killer leaves perplexing clues and chilling journal entries addressed to Sienna detailing the murders he claims his mother committed.

I listened to all 7 books every spare moment I had. This is not my usual genre but this was the probably the one of the best book(s) I've had the pleasure of listening too! I'm no prude but the lack of the F bomb and just relatively clean language all the way through was quite refreshing!! I have to admit, I feel kinda lost and sad that it's over!!

it was a great story, but all the covid references to mask wearing and vaccines put me off a bit, especially knowing what we know now about their effectiveness. The pandemic could have been mentioned without the, "you don't have to wear a mask if you're vaccinated" rhetoric. Unlike other books, I will not specifically search out this author to read what else has been written.

I'm not one who has followed the monarchy, but Harry and Meghan caught my interest after the Oprah interview. My heart goes out to them and the hate and vitriol against them is so misplaced. I thought this book was very insightful and from the heart. I hope the entire family finds peace and happiness.

The perfect neighborhood can be the perfect place to hide… Who wouldn’t want to live in Brighton Hills? This exclusive community on the Oregon coast is the perfect mix of luxury and natural beauty. Stunning houses nestle beneath mighty Douglas firs, and lush backyards roll down to the lakefront. It’s the kind of place where neighbors look out for one another. Sometimes a little too closely…

I don't normally leave reviews, but I average about 3 books a week and this is one of the best I've listened to in a long while!! If I have any critique it's that I have lived in Texas all my life and have never heard anyone in the South pronounce "Pecan" as "Pee Can." it's "Puh Kahn."
