I kind of really did not like Amadeo. I don’t like when Doms or Daddies are written as emotionally unhinged. It’s especially ineffective when you want to make him seem menacing at a crucial moment. Loved Six though.

Probably the absolute best romance novel I’ve listened to this year, maybe ever. So well written and read even better.

This series and its world building gets better and better. I really loved the first book, Prince of Sorrows; but now I know it was no fluke. Kellen Graves has created a beautiful love story and Christian Leatherman brings it to life with effortless grace and skill. Never listened to him before this series, but I’m definitely a fan now.

I’m sorry to say, this less than mediocre narration was a previously unknown character in the book; a complete distraction. This is fairly old, so I hope that this narrator has improved over time.

I’m very pleased that every installment of this series doesn’t fail to impress. I loved all the MCs so far but Seth is a definite personal favorite ♥️

I really liked the overall story but... In the first installment of this series it's pretty clear Wade is mixed race. His physical description down to his racial admixture is brought up in the first book. Now that he is an actual main character, I see the author has shied away from describing him with any kind of specific detail. It's not as though she did this with other characters in this story. I obviously don't know the full reason this is the case but I can speculate the reason for it. It rings of cowardice and is more than a little disappointing.

Firstly, Michael Dean is an excellent narrator. So the issue I have is not related to the performance at all. The thing I find annoying is, I bought this book expecting a new series because with was Book 1 of the series. However it is clear it is a spinoff of another series and the author doesn’t even provide a synopsis of prior events before diving into this story; and this story is redolent with characters from another or maybe two other series, that have their own backstories and established arcs. Their presence and interactions with the main characters initially left me a bit lost and eventually just annoyed. It’s really ruined any desire I have to read the other books in this series or other series by this author. Also, having read another book by her a long time ago, the themes and character dynamics seem repetitive? Even within THIS book you can pretty much find the same repeated powers dynamics.
