The narrator makes the 38 year old main character sound like she was in her 70’s. That was hard. There were times I had to fast forward because there was simply too much drawn out rambling descriptions. Too much angst.
However, the story did pull me in. Good character development. The main character was finally someone I could handle about midway through. Some solid editing and better narrator…it would be solid and worth 5 stars.

Why do they all sound ultra snooty or whiney? Makes listening so hard. I’ll finish but ugh.

Worth every minute to listen. Non stop action, very well done narration. Can’t wait for book 2!

To everyone complaining about the age thing, seriously? Do you remember what 9 year olds do? This story is wonderful, great for an easy read, and one I’m thankful to have found. I find it….interesting that my current husbands name is Travis. My ex is Rob, my son is Levi, and my sisters abusive ex is Randy……..

The book isn’t bad, it has my attention enough that I want to finish. Which is a feat. However, the narrator is truly awful. No character stays the same, the fake falsetto of the “younger” crowd is grating, and the number of words mispronounced while attempting to keep with her awful attempt at the accent is appalling. Will be avoiding anything narrated by this narrator again.
