Story
I wasn't the type of girl who believed in fairytales, much less tales about faeries, but that changed the day the fae walked into my life. Staying away from my lakeside hometown was the plan, but Mom died suddenly. Dad said she suffered a stroke after she dug up one of the ancient Native American graves in our backyard. Creepy, I know. Creepier still, there was no corpse inside the old coffin, only fresh rose petals.

Beautiful and unique story

I love the author’s twist on Fae and the incorporation of Native lore. It was a beautifully written story, and the narration was perfection.

Story
I wasn’t the sort of girl who believed in fairy tales, let alone tales about Faeries. But that changed the day Faeries came to my small town and Hunters rose from their graves. On that fateful day, I received a book, a peculiar collection of myths and legends. Turns out, it was so much more than stories. And just as I was on the verge of unlocking its secrets, it was stolen from me by someone I called a friend.

The narration was perfect, and as usual, Olivia has knocked it out of the park with this story.

Story
Farleigh is just an orphanage–at least, that's what the church would have the people believe. But beautiful orphans Nox and fae-touched Amaris know better. They are commodities for sale, available for purchase by the highest bidder. So when the madame of a notorious brothel in a far-off city offers a king's ransom to purchase Amaris, Nox ends up taking her place—while Amaris is drawn away to the mountains, home of mysterious assassins.

Absolutely beautiful

Fantasy done right. It’s rare to find fantasy that does LGBTQ love stories justice, but boy oh boy did Piper hit this out of the ballpark! Amaris and Nox are beautifully written and the descriptions are stunning. I loved the world building and rich character development. Beautiful story. Narration was also amazing!

It is deeply appreciated when you can find an author who does not shy away from real emotion. This is the beginning of what I am looking forward to as a wonderful series
