Story
My life wasn't that exciting; a degree in engineering, a small flat in London, and an ex-girlfriend who still texted me when she was drunk. Every day was a bore. Everything changed when I found myself in Lanercost, a small medieval village, with no idea of how I arrived. The locals seemed friendly, and a chance encounter introduced me to several breathtakingly beautiful women. I decided to make the best of it. Armed with only a solid education, my wit, and the five pennies in my pocket, I decided to build a life here. No, not just a life; a House that would last for generations.

As with most multi-series books 📚 , the first one was a solid 4. (These series are no where near a 5)
If you’re looking for something that is light mentally, fun, has some gaps, and some adult situations that are interesting.
Then you will enjoy this series.
(Note: the last book could have ended a lot better)
For a single credit? Yes, it’s worth it (if you keep in mind what I stated earlier).

Not sure what you call this genre of books 📚
But this was entertaining and definitely different! (at least for me).
The series I would rate it 3 1/2 overall.
Like most series the last books appears to be rushed.
3 books 📚 for one credit, it was worth it.
Happy reading/ listening 😉

Enjoyable!
The ratings for this book is legit.
I would have given it 5-stars, if it were not for so many f-bombs (weren’t needed).
Overall a good story and a nice change of pace.
Enjoy…

Let’s see…
Where do we begin?
First, ignore the 5-Star ratings.
Second, the story line is that bad, it is worth a listen.
Third, the narration could have / should have been better.
At times it really was painful.
If you some credits and time to waste (Long bus, train, flight or on the night-shift), check it out.

Do not get your hopes up too high on this one...
Being that I read / listened all the books in the series and have come to realize there are some books that are "fillers" until a good story line is written. Well this is such a book. A Filler.
It's not bad, it's worth a credit but not to buy "unless" you are a true Terry Goodkind fan and wish to add this to your collection. I myself fall into this category.
If you are not a fan, start with the first book in the series. You will not be disappointed. If you start with this book, it may leave you scratching your head and asking what's all the fuss about.
For those "TG" fans, this is a good book to listen to while on a plane, bus or ready to go to bed. It's starts off slow, picks up a tad, slows back down, picks up near the end and will leave you wondering... Is that it?
