Story
Joyce Aparo seemed to be the perfect single mother. She doted on her sixteen-year-old daughter, Karin, encouraging her musical ability and lavishing affection on her. But behind closed doors, Joyce was a terror. For thirteen years, she beat Karin savagely and demeaned her relentlessly. When Karin met the troubled yet brilliant Dennis Coleman, the two fell head-over-heels. But Joyce disapproved—so she had to die.

This was so much of what I needed to understand pieces of history that I didn’t pay attention too.
The reader read like I felt the author intended it to be heard.
Loved it and highly recommend it!

From Augustine to Marx, various views and perspectives have contributed to the modern understanding of the self.

So good

If you were alive and remember 911, this man’s testimony will give you insight to the Muslim faith and the difference between the faith and the radicalism extreme that some take it too. Just as there are Christians who live by faith and those who twist it, the Muslim religion has those who twist their religion as well. This book gave me insight to the work our United States Intelligence Department did and continues to do post 911. Very good read/listen.

Story
At one time, Corrie ten Boom would have laughed at the idea that she had a story to tell. For the first 50 years of her life, nothing out of the ordinary ever happened to her. She was a spinster watchmaker living contentedly with her sister and their elderly father in the tiny house over their shop in Haarlem. Their uneventful days, as regulated as their own watches, revolved around their abiding love for one another. But with the Nazi invasion and occupation of Holland, everything changed....

God is so good!
My pastor quoted Corrie’s experience with the soldier after her experience in the holocaust, this prompted me to listen to her book.
I am in awe of how God provides His forgiveness to us and through the Holy Spirit, then enables us to forgive as well.
