I’m trying to figure out if this was written by a teenager or what. Feel bad for the male off of that he actually had to stumble through all that dialogue.

The story is cute. But the narrator made so many mistakes and sounded so childish it was difficult to get into it. This supposed to be young adult but narrator made the characters sound more middle school.

Story was entertaining. I don’t usually care for the insta love trope but it was bearable. The male narrator was totally awesome but the female narrator was dry and made it obvious she was reading and didn’t really make an effort to draw you into the characters psyche There were some instances where the wrong word was used ie wreathed instead of writhed. So that threw me off but the story itself was cute and it was an easy listen and easy to follow with just enough angst and drama to keep it from being too cutesy and boring. I liked it.

I like the fact it was an easy listen. Made it easy to follow while working and not having to think too much about the plot since it was overtly obvious.
Didn’t really care for the narrator. I felt more like I was being read a children’s book or something. Not sure the narrator has ever heard a man use his sexy voice before. She kinda fell short on that. But otherwise an okay book.

I laughed. The male MC is a douche but the fun kind of douche. The kind you actually WANT to be around and joke around with. The female MC was meh but I think it was more the narrators rendition of her than the actual character.

It was difficult to like this story. Usually, I love train wreck stories but those stories usually have likable characters. There isn't much to like about these characters. They have no conscience over what they're doing. Especially the female lead. She flat out seduces a married man repeatedly and without remorse and the man allows it. Each convincing themselves they weren't "really" doing anything wrong. How do you like a character like that? Or even relate to them. I've read infidelity stories before but the characters had redeeming qualities. They grew as people within the story but these characters are flat and pretty boring. Not to mention the female is pretty immature as a whole.
The narrator is ok but definitely not great. She sounds nasally and tinny and almost robotic. It was really a difficult story to get into but since I can't ever NOT finish what I start...I suffered through it.
So many scenes that didn't need to be in the story worked as a filler and while I think the author was trying to use these scenes to give the dimensions of the characters it fell short. Just a bad story, altogether.

Please, please....PLEASE...get this book edited. It has so much potential but words are used incorrectly, grammar is badly done. It feels as if you took your beta draft and just said, "Screw it. I'mma run wit it." Blugh. Get this edited, add the conclusion and make sure you are asking for customers to pay for a FINISHED product rather than a haphazard attempt. You have potential as a writer but you rushed getting out before it was ready.

I think because this story had a more in-depth story line, i actually enjoyed this one much more than the first book (which I also enjoyed).
Side note: Where does everyone get the questions they use to write their reviews? I wish Audible made it so that we could reply to each other; we could have book-club-like discussions.
