Story
A place you will never forget. Rosamunde Pilcher's Scotland...where the fields flourish with greenery, the bills bloom with purple, and the lochs glitter with the bright blue of the sky. A time you will never forget. September...when the heather is in full flower, the first chill of autumn cools the air, and the countryside stirs with the hunt, balls, dinner parties, and dance. Rosamunde Pilcher's September...a story of homecomings and heartbreaks, friendships, betrayals, forgiveness, and love.

BEST BOOK I’VE READ IN A LONG TIME!!!!
Reviewed: 03-16-25
I had completely given up and only listened to books with raving reviews which were still horrible!! I stumbled upon this one and thought, why not? It is beautiful!!! She is a brilliant author!! At the very end I got scared and thought oh no, here’s where she’s going to ruin it. Not at all. She ended more beautifully, more perfectly than I could imagine. Listening to this book is like a day at the spa. She not only tidies all loose ends, she weaves together a gorgeous story. I’m immediately going to find her next book and spend my next credit. P.S. Even the purposely annoying characters won’t make you cringe!

The book overall was alright but honestly I feel like she left the main love story extremely unsatisfying. I feel robbed by the ending. It was good but not worthy of all the hype it received.

Story
Two sisters went missing on their class trip—Grace, the outgoing athlete who is friends with just about everyone, and Maddy, the wallflower wilting in her sister’s shadow who'd rather absorb herself in her journal than talk to her classmates. But when Grace is found—injured, with no memory of what happened—everybody thinks she’s lying. It’s hard not to look guilty with Maddy’s blood on her clothes. Desperate to save her sister—and prove her own innocence—Grace must piece together what happened on that school trip.

It wasn’t horrible but really??

I think the author probably thought she’d come up with a wonderfully unique plot twist, but it comes across ridiculous. By the end you have to question the entire story. She writes well but honestly, don’t use a credit. If you come across it for free it won’t be a waste. I just wouldn’t have spent a credit on it.

Story
Do you ever get a glimpse of yourself that is exactly who you want to be, but always seems just out of reach? The happier, kinder, less stressed, more courageous you? The ideal version of you isn't imaginary at all. It's actually the authentic you trying to break through. And it’s not a future version of yourself you have to chase. The true you may be new to you, but it’s not new to God. It's the you he knew all along.

Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

Slamming Your Head Into A Brick Wall
Reviewed: 01-02-25
This author loves to drop her readers off a cliff then repeatedly slams your head into a brick wall. The ending was good but you have to go through hell just to get 5 mins of a happy ending. Sad because her writing is good enough to not need all the parlor tricks.

Kind of wrecked the love stories
Reviewed: 10-24-24
Honestly the book was good but she created two what could have been epic love stories then completely wrecked them. It was beyond disappointing. She kept the female lead bitter and edgy till the end. I’m just glad I didn’t spend a credit on this one.
