Story
Frequency is all the buzz at the box office, so now's the time to revisit one of the best time-travel books ever written. Step back in time with Simon Morley to the New York that once was, as he is transported from the mid-1900s to the year 1882. Morley solves a mystery of the 20th century by discovering its 19th-century roots, and falls desperately in love with a beautiful young woman in the process. He ultimately finds himself forced to choose between his lives in the present and the past.

Abridged or Unabridged - That is the question
Reviewed: 02-24-21
The description says "Unabridged", but the closing credits said "Abridged". Now I have to read the book to find out if I missed anything! There were some transitions that seemed a bit awkward, but not enough to give one pause.
Good story that ended too soon, and on a possible paradox, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Not the best narrator I have ever listened to, but better than the sample of the other version of the same book. That voice was too deep and monotone.

Story
It's not every afternoon that an enigmatic, comely blonde named Stilton (like the cheese) walks into the scruffy gin joint where Sammy "Two Toes" Tiffin tends bar. It's love at first sight, but before Sammy can make his move, an air force general named Remy arrives with some urgent business. 'Cause when you need something done, Sammy is the guy to go to; he's got the connections on the street.

Excellent story and performance

I love Christopher Moore and this is my favorite book of his. I have listened to this book three times and never tire of the story or the performance. Even my wife, who is a bit of a book snob (books should be read, not listened to), enjoyed it when I popped it in on a long car trip.

Story
Harry August is on his deathbed. Again. No matter what he does or the decisions he makes, when death comes, Harry always returns to where he began, a child with all the knowledge of a life he has already lived a dozen times before. Nothing ever changes. Until now. As Harry nears the end of his 11th life, a little girl appears at his bedside. "I nearly missed you, Doctor August", she says. "I need to send a message". This is the story of what Harry does next, and what he did before, and how he tries to save a past he cannot change and a future he cannot allow.

Good Premise, Bad Delivery
Reviewed: 07-19-19
It sounded like an interesting premise, but was so tediously presented, it could not hold my interest. I have trouble falling asleep when I read, so I went to audio books. If I had actually tried to read this book, I would be in a coma!
