Story
That stammer. Those basset-hound eyes. That bone-dry wit. There has never been another comedian like Bob Newhart. In this, his first audiobook ever, Newhart gives his brilliant and bemused twist on a multitude of topics, including flying, the trials of a family holiday in a Winnebago, and more serious subjects, such as golf. And, of course, there are side-splittingly funny stories from his life and career. Who else has a drinking game named after him? ("Hi, Bob!")

Absolutely worth Listening Too

I love Bob Newhart and this was an excellent book!
I enjoyed it so much more because he narrated it himself and no one else can talk like Bob Newhart.
Definately worth listening too again and again.

Very Disappointing
Reviewed: 10-15-07
I liked the first book, the second books seemed to lose focus and this third book I couldn't even finish. The main character is annoying and after awhile I just wanted her to go away.
I don't recommend this book to anyone.

Story
On a frigid December night, Karen sits at the edge of Philadelphia's Schuylkill River, dressed in a flowing gown, like a visitor from the distant past. A beautiful and shining young woman, she gazes up at a bone-white winter moon like a fairytale princess. At first glance, one might not even notice that she is dead, coated in a patina of ice. Homicide cops Kevin Byrne and Jessica Balzano take the lead on the case, uncovering a plethora of eerie clues, each more warped and spine-chilling than the last.

Great Book

I absolutely love the narrator Scott Brick because he brings the story to life. I love the characters in this book-you actually meet them in previous books. In Merciless, there is suspense, drama, action, comedy, dry humor and a feeling of knowing the characters. I am definately looking forward to his future books and hope that Scott Brick will be the narrator of them too.

Not one of her usual thrillers
Reviewed: 10-15-07
I was disappointed with this book. I absolutely love Tess Gerritsen because of her attention to detail in her medical thrillers. This was not anything like her previous books. She took a different path and wrote about a past life that intersects with the present day. I would consider this novel more like a drama.
