I didn't read the synopsis prior to downloading and listening to this performance so I didn't know what to expect. It was surpassing surprisingly fantastic, incredibly well written and preformed, and an eye opening learning experience. What a truth he speaks. I love that he offers historical fact with future solutions. Will definitely be listening to this again.

Rock god. Justice fighter. Rabble-rouser. Ivy Leaguer. An American renegade and fearless truth teller. Rage Against the Machine’s guitar virtuoso, Tom Morello, is many things; but perhaps, he himself, sums it up best: a one-man revolution. For the first time ever, hear Morello fuse the deeply personal with the political in a rapturous, badass, one-man show that skillfully balances soul-bearing stories with spellbinding guitar fury: Speaking Truth to Power Through Stories and Song by Tom Morello.

Story
At 22, Cheryl Strayed thought she had lost everything. In the wake of her mother's death, her family scattered and her own marriage was soon destroyed. Four years later, with nothing more to lose, she made the most impulsive decision of her life: to hike the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mojave Desert through California and Oregon to Washington State - and to do it alone. She had no experience as a long-distance hiker, and the trail was little more than “an idea, vague and outlandish and full of promise.” But it was a promise of piecing back together a life that had come undone.

Just wasn't my style and I couldn't get into it. Too much detail about the journey, felt it was long- winded and didn't have a great point to it. If you like a story solely about a journey without much resolution then get this book.

Imagine living with a fear so visceral each day that simply walking down the street draws terror to one’s core. That’s the best case scenario for a woman on the streets of Juárez, Mexico. Kate del Castillo (La Reina del Sur) delivers a stunning one-woman performance that transports listeners from a New York stage to the treacherous streets of Juárez, Mexico, where thousands of women have been murdered in an ongoing epidemic of violence.

Struggled to get through it. Felt like 90% was her story of going blind and being bullied and the terrible things that happened to her, then the rest was singing her own praise and name dropping. Just wasn't my style, maybe I wasn't in the right mood for it.
