While Penny is great as is Emery,, Penny's mom is Fantastic! The actress that portrays her reminds me of "Miss Patty" from my favorite TV show (Not going to use the name of the show but here's a hint: Mother & Daughter who grow up together and an obsessive need for coffee). It's a completely smile worthy story. Worth a listen and a read.

Brenda K. Davies hits her stride with this the 5th book in the series. Abi and Brian’s story, in my opinion, is absolutely spellbinding and completely compelling. Brian’s history will pull the strings of your heart and allows you to understand the reason why he is the way that he is. It’s only Abi’s love and patience that will ultimately break through the wall Brian’s erected .

Nicole Pool is incredible as the narrator! She absolutely brings these characters to life. The overall story is amazingly well written. Ms. Espinosa isn’t afraid to delve into the harder subject manor and writes it with respect.

Thank you Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter for bringing the characters to life. You both did a wonderful job! Elizabeth Briggs wrote an interesting and well developed story but her leading character makes me want to scream at her. Kira our female lead is selfish and whiny more often than she isn't. In the harsh environment that the story takes place in, Elizabeth Briggs makes the lead female character act like a petulant child at times. For example, book 2 - male character was engaged but both parties involved in the engagement admitted there was nothing more than friendship. He immediately calls off the engagement and declares his love for the one and only Kira but she still pitches a fit and spends 1/2 the book whining about how she'll not be able to trust him.
Book 3 - male lead who was reluctant to become involved with Kira; once he declares his feelings and explains his back story, Kira pouts and plays the jealous card..

These are just examples and there are more. Kira's character development should have been delved into and redone. (she's supposed to become a leader and role model but more than once she comes across as a deprived teen.)

The Story, if you can put aside this character issue, is really well done. I found myself wanting to know what happened next and what crazy circumstance our heroes would need to get themselves out of.

Overall, I would recommend the books because the story arch saves the character issues.

It was awesome to hear the events from Aiden's life and how it brought him to where he met Cailyn. Loved the POV but the narration left me wishing that there was more emotion in what was being told. It lacked the heart that Aiden grew to have... Just my opinion.

Bam and Heather did a wonderful job with the story, and the narrator characterizes Romy and the gang better than anyone out there. The story picks up from where Book 1 left off and takes us further into the life, times, and troubles that our girl Romy and her friends are dealing with. Great job and worth the listen.

Heather is a wonderful storyteller and has done it again in this book. Kelly Pruner is a significantly better narrator, thank goodness. Overall I really enjoyed this audiobook far more than the first.

The best part about Heather’s writing is her ability to take the reader/listener on a journey into the world she has created. She absolutely offers that escapism here.

Audio book- Lauren Anthony does a good job but she is a bit breathy when reading. I am not sure if she is new to narration however it sounds like she is attempting to imitate Marilyn Monroe at times.
