Story
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

I love this book so much and I hope I love the adaptation just as much. I've listened to the audible twice now. realized I missed a few parts and it drew me back in as it did the 1st listen. I'm going to buy the book and read it before the film premiers. I just love this story. thank you Delia Owens

Story
No visitors. No nights spent away from the apartment. No disturbing the other residents, all of whom are rich or famous or both. These are the only rules for Jules Larsen’s new job as an apartment sitter at the Bartholomew, one of Manhattan's most high-profile and mysterious buildings. As she gets to know the residents and staff of the Bartholomew, Jules finds herself drawn to fellow apartment sitter Ingrid. When Ingrid confides that the Bartholomew is not what it seems, Jules brushes it off as a harmless ghost story...until the next day, when Ingrid disappears.

Great read

I love this book, it was so easy to read, I love that the author didn't take too much time describing everything and every moment of the book. It was perfectly performed, and I was able to imagine the story as I heard it play. I'm not one for rereading books, but if I do decide to or was one to do so, I would definitely read this again. Thinking of even getting the hardcover. I did the audible trial and used my point for this read.. Glad I did.
