Love the story

Not me, obviously but several people here reach there's though. The FMC here is well written and likeable. The MMC is not at all loveable a lot of the times- just how we like our fictional men. He is rude, cunning, and downright mean, but he is also smexy and he knows it.
People come in and out of our lives and all of them shape us in some way... Some more than others.
There are two sides to every story and some are reluctant to share theirs, some stories everyone knows, and some don't get a choice in keeping theirs to themselves.

The life goals have stacked up since I started this journey as a sad, lonely little ghost. I'm not sure how things escalated so quickly from trying to be seen and heard, to bearing the weight of the world on my vain little shoulders. As a result, my goals have gotten a little more serious. We're the most screwed up collection of antiheroes the world has ever seen, because the only thing that makes me want to save the world is knowing I could lose my boys forever if I don't. It's one hell of a love story, you know?

This whopper of a tale is horrifyingly punny and is filled with references galore to the 90s. it is ridiculous at the worst of times, and simultaneously oddly endearing. the h is a goofball with a non-existent heart of gold.

And not all is shining, shimmering, or splendid. in fact it would be terror inducing on a whole new level.
I can't imagine being Tam and enduring for all that time. Lucian is practically a saint in having to survive how he has. Farrah, bless her heart. I'd have died ten times over but love, of all kinds, pushes us beyond what we know capable.
This is definitely a different trope for me but this particular tale is talked about so often I thought I'd give it a shot. It took me a bit to get into it but glad I did as I ended up loving it. (No really I bought all the paperback set to have in hand and I hadn't even listened to the second book yet).

The audacity of Mrs James and her cliffies just get more and more brazen! She draws you into her world like no others and it's annoying as all get out to screech to a halt at what feels like a dreadfully abrupt pause. Now I'm going to run off to kindle and ignore the world around me so I can read the next book as it's out over there already because I need to know someone rescues Stanley right this very second.

No one quits the Guild. Not really. Either they cut a deal to make themselves useful in another capacity, or they get eliminated. But who, you might ask, can kill a killer? Who scares the boogeyman into running and hiding? Men like me.

I mean really! a merc is a serial killer for hire right? This takes them to a hole new level. Also, a bad time to catch feels.Though, I must say if Dani is the top, I'm worried. I thought I was gonna like Leon but I'm on the fence with him right now, I'm leaning towards disliking him- alot. Now, Aries....dude is unhinged buuuut let's face it, everyone here is, and I'm here for it!
As always, the narration for Mrs. James tales are spot on. love them!

Pay attention to your body's internal warning system.
if you have any kind of trauma from assault of any kind then this book is not for you. I have no triggers and this was still a harrowing tale to listen to.
This is an incredible story of severe brutality and the epic strength of a woman to survive- not only the act but the aftermath.....and the special person that helps her to see color again.

The AbCurses and Willa were made for each other in ways people can only hope to find. This tale is an absolute treat to read.
The quips, shenanigans, and accidents are uproariously funny.
Characters found throughout this tale are works of art. They are made relatable and easy to picture. Their world's are unique and fascinating.
Willa and the worlds as she sees/ interacts with them are entirely entertaining.

i love the storyline, even if it is mostly (98%) smut free. It's an immersive tale with great world building. I keep tuning everything out so I can listen and find out what's next.The characters and their relationships are what everyone wants (with the exception of a select few) and are highly entertaining.
