Story
The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Story
Of course, if there were only one thing under Liscor, there would be far less to fear. However, the dungeon continues to be a threat. At the same time, Goblins continue to roam northern Izril, but not all of them are as hostile to people as Tremborag or the Goblin Lord. Will the Unseen Emperor of Riverfarm make that distinction, however? A reckoning is coming as old faces and new reemerge. And all the while, The Wandering Inn is still serving food and respite and even plays to adventurers and Antinium alike. But something is coming from the dungeons. And it—they—are hungry.

This book was sooo good! So many emotional parts. I cried listening to Bird and Mersha’s part in the tale. The battles were epic and I found myself yelling and cheering almost like that feeling when all of the major groups appeared to battle Thanos during the final avengers movie! The narrator is amazing. She voices each character so well especially the Antineim. I hate, hate, hate that I have to wait for the next book BUT I’m so very grateful that this author makes such long books and doesn’t end them in crushing cliff hangers! 5 stars all around!

All I can say is amazing! From beginning to end! I love, love, love how she wrapped up in the epilogue. I wish all authors knew how to give such satisfying closure :)

This book was absolutely amazing! I have not cheered so hard for characters in a book since I read the Red Rising series. I have not stayed up at night missing sleep for work the next day in so very long! The emotions the book brought out of me shocked me. I laughed, I cried, I REALLY Cried, I cheered, I was shocked. It was an emotional rollercoaster in the best way. Thank you so much Jim Butcher for the amazing world and characters you created. I have been so stressed as a teacher this year that it was nice to curl up with a book about old friends I love. A truly amazing job!
