I was WRONG!!! This was an awesome book - absolutely loved it! Pucked was fantastic - on my re-listen list, it's so funny, I can't help but crack up all the way through it - but this one touches my heart in new ways. The narrators do a beautiful job, the story is great and I love getting to know Lance and Poppy!

So, I'm wondering, can I just keep listening to this series on endless loop for a few weeks? Maybe not a good idea!

Book 3 fixes up the cliffhangers from book 2, introduces a few new dramas as well. There is a TON of sex in this one, it really ratchets up the racy side of life by introducing some lighter BDSM. I will say, there are some 50-esque parts, but that is because both authors did their research and learned what frequently happens as far as contracts, etc. This series is in no way a copy cat of anyone or anything else. It was different in many ways. Yes, I saw nuances of other stories, just because I've read so many I can relate them together. It was a great story. I will say there was a bit too much sex, only because it cut away from the story, but we were just tieing it all up at the end anyway (pun intended).

There was an epilogue, but it was only days later. Would love to get a view of their future, maybe 5 or so years out. I am a sucker for a good epilogue.

Valorous starts off right where Virtuous ends. There continues to be dual narrations, which was done well. Still there are no red flags for me. These are books that allow you to see the couple's relationship as it is growing, how they are together, not apart for 95% of the book and at the end BOOM...all is well! You really get a feeling for the relationship between Flynn and Natalie.

Natalie has bared her soul to Flynn and most of the world, she is becoming more confident with her secrets and choices every day. She is meeting great new people, seeing Flynn's world and his heart.

Flynn, however, is still holding on to his secrets, thinking that if it is in the past, there is no reason to share it and hurt Natalie. As it does, of course this will eventually blow up in his face.

We get to meet the lovely, vindictive ex-wife who hates Flynn, what a gem she is :)

His family is almost TOO perfect, but sweet and we like them.

This second book really exposes the couple to more ridicule, there are major decisions to be made and lots of ups and downs.

Then comes that cliffhanger...OUCH!!! Hold on to your seats for this one!

Let me start off by saying that I have been in a terrible book slump for a couple of months now. I've tried new books, old books, favorite books, hot books, easy books, drama books and NOTHING and I mean NOTHING, even some of my absolute favorites couldn't pull me out. Well...this did it! I started this first book on Sunday evening, after my BFF read reviews and suggested I try it, I resisted for a few hours, tried something else with no luck and finally gave in. I read lots of reviews first and was completely unsure. By the middle of this book, I was hooked, enough to call and tell her to stop the book she was on and get on this one.

Meet Flynn, he is an A list Hollywood actor, on location in New York. He is 33 years old, the world's hottest guy, rich, sweet, funny, famous, sexy, etc...But...he has a dark side!!! LOVE IT!

Introducing Natalie, a somewhat normal 23 year old 3rd grade teacher, recently out of college, living in New York with a wacky terror of a 20 lb dog. She is beautiful, quiet, a bit reclusive, kind, sincere, with big rules and bigger secrets.

As their most necessary "meet cute" occurs, we fall a little in love with this sweet pair. In this first of three books we are introduced to Flynn and Natalie, many great secondary characters, her dog Fluff and get a general idea of their personalities. The first half moved a bit slowly as the couple danced around the "should I, shouldn't I" question of if they should pursue something together.

Flynn totally chases Natalie (which I absolutely LOVE) until...well...he doesn't. But then, he does again, so it's great. Once Flynn makes the decision to go for it though, man he doesn't hold back! Talk about whiplash! He is one fast mover!!! Natalie pretty much goes along for the ride, for a while, then her life is turned COMPLETELY upside down. Get your tissue boxes ready and prepare for total outrage and tears.

Flynn is wonderfully attentive and sweet to Natalie. Their relationship is already great. Once she gets over her initial shock, she is amazing resilient and strong. She is incredible.

*I'm really trying not to give anything away, so this is a bit difficult*

Virtuous is a true love story, it takes place in just over a week. There were none of my red flags. No cheating, no rude talk between the couple, hot sex, nothing crazy *YET*

There are discussions of past sexual assault that this series focuses on quite a bit, the aftermath of the assault and moving forward. As a survivor myself I found it written well, though sometimes difficult, it was not a trigger for me. Very sympathetic.

Both of the first two books are cliffhangers, so, with about 9 hours each, you need to be prepared to spend 3 credits on about 27 hours of reading. Well worth it to me! I am hoping for more from other characters in the future! This will be a relisten for me. The narrators did well.

This is Romance, please don't say, "It isn't realistic." Well, no, if it were we'd just cry and not want to read that.
