Story
We expect our judges to be honest and wise. Their integrity and impartiality are the bedrock of the entire judicial system. We trust them to ensure fair trials, to protect the rights of all litigants, to punish those who do wrong, and to oversee the orderly and efficient flow of justice. But what happens when a judge bends the law or takes a bribe? It’s rare, but it happens. Lacy Stoltz is an investigator for the Florida Board on Judicial Conduct. She is a lawyer, not a cop, and it is her job to respond to complaints dealing with judicial misconduct.

For Butch Karp, chief assistant district attorney for New York County, the nightmare begins when a shocking act of negligence results in homicide. It is Butch Karp's unpleasant job to give the public what it wants - a thorough administration of hard-line justice - by prosecuting a poor, Hispanic, fifteen-year-old mother for murder. Would you listen to Hold Tight again? Why?
I wouldn't get the kick out of it the second time
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes..it was just good story telling and eventful
What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?
Constant, even, well acted and clear.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, both laugh and tear up a little but for personal reasons
Any additional comments?
Coben has the touch...he makes me think of myself as a teen and raising my kids as well..
His Sports references are on the money and his grasp of the events of the day around all of us just makes for "can't put it down" value.
Loved the listen!

What disappointed you about You're Next?
The plot never stood still long en0ugh to get fleshed out and understood
Was his search for his mother and father primary? Was the misuse of construction material the
plot? Was his fear for his daughter the plot?
WAs his relationship with child primary?
And on and on....it just rambled without purpose or understandable explanation.
