Stupid autocorrect!! Zinal, Kris & Mitford.
Reviewed: 01-25-25
Enjoyed overall! However, some confusion in storyline, like Mitford not trusting Zinal on first night drop (didn't say you could go buddy"), then seemingly okay with it when more help requested ( "right on!").

Story
To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare, woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, she has endured a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife to reach the ultimate turning point.

Loved it.

So good, I didn't get much sleep until I finished!
There's so much covered that it's hard to pick one favorite.
The before car scene is funny every time.
I always enjoy the honeymoon and laugh every time I read about the feathers.
The final confrontation scene can make me cry, have me wanting to punch something, or make me want to gloat.
Not really how I was expecting the narration to be split between two narrators, but it was good.

Loved listening!

Totally enjoyed listening as my most recent "rereading" of this book.
My favorite part this time were the mountain top scenes.
The only minor irritation in listening vs reading is that Bella seemed a little more whiney.
It seemed like there were going to be 2 narrators throughout the book this time, but that didn't occur...That could've been better or worse.
(I hope there's more than one for the next book...There'll be so many more characters added!)

Story
For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning.

I enjoyed it so much that I flew through the book in this form!
My favorite part this time was the visit to Italy.
I'm becoming more familiar with the narrator, but it seems like there could be a second voice to make the distinction between characters that much better.

Pleasantly Surprised!

I was all set to be disappointed with Life and Death... I had already been disappointed when the story from Edwards view was scrapped, so I wasn't at all certain what this story would be.
Instead I listened to Life and Death twice (before even considering listening to Twilight) and wouldn't have minded the story continuing further to detail the actual results of the meeting with Bonnie and the wolves. It would also be interesting to see if a future friendship could continue once Jules became a wolf.
Having read through the series multiple times, I had certain expectations of the emotions coming through. For the most part, Twilight's narrative hit those expectations.
Not having preconceptions for Life and Death, I believe that the narrative enhanced my enjoyment.
