I love the context that this book provides that leads to looking at other passage of scriptures deeper and of course prayer with the Holy Spirit! I’ve learned so much from this and understand why John Mark Comer said “his soul came alive and how he fell in love with Jesus more deeply”while reading this. Highly recommended. Never looked at the Parables this way. @timprattjr

I love how this book explained how to truly excel with the "Fixed-Flexible-Freestyle" approach; cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset. It’s all about embracing the ability to pivot, adjust, and adapt. This mindset empowers you to seize opportunities as they arise and bounce back when things don’t go as planned. Flexibility is your greatest asset! I love the Coaching Corners as it brought balance packed with so much wisdom. This is most definitely a modern classic. - @timprattjr (IG)

In The Gift of Thorns, A.J. Swoboda explores the nature of human desire, showing how God-given desires were created good but have been distorted by sin. The book challenges readers to reorder and align their desires with God’s will, often requiring the denial of selfish wants for spiritual growth. Swoboda offers practical insights on confronting harmful desires, nurturing godly ones, and embracing disciplines that transform the heart.

Was looking for a fresh perspective on team dynamics and to be an inspiration. I must say Val Ries delivered. After listening on Audible, I’m ordering the physical copy today.

I love practical and actionable approaches. She doesn’t just emphasize the importance of inspiration, she provides clear strategies and real-world examples that empower leaders to put these ideas into action and see real results in their context.

He drives home the point of using AI as a thought partner, not a thought leader. It’s very practical and does not tell you how to think strategically, but rather encourages you to use AI as a tool to enhance your own strategic thinking. Geoff Woods emphasizes the importance of maintaining human intuition and judgment while leveraging AI’s capabilities to streamline processes and uncover insights. The book is filled with actionable advice, making it a valuable guide for leaders who want to integrate AI into their decision-making without losing the human element. It’s a must-read for those looking to elevate their leadership by using AI as an enabler, not a replacement.

I love this book and how it was performed!!! IMO he's very sound in his teaching throughout the way he uses Scripture. The stories provided a great balance as they all pointed to God’s glory in some way. @timprattjr

This is going to be a go-to book when it comes to Culture. He goes beyond the surface-level “great culture” that companies strive to create.

He's really big on leadership, but more so that it's a behavior rather than a title. You will love the stories he uses to drive home the point.

This is by far one the best books I’ve read on this topic. The articulation is up there with the best and it’s a soul check book for sure when it comes to ministry. Jesus is so faithful.

I believe this is a great intro and reminder of fundamentals. I wish I would've read (listen) to this way before ministry but so glad I came across it. I believe it's sound and would agree with about 85-90 percent of the book.
