I enjoyed this book. I was a little disappointed with Addies ending, SPOILER ALERT** I feel like Addie should have had more consequences for her MANY POOR choices. The loop around back to “J” at the end was unexpected. Overall, it was a good read/listen and I enjoyed it.

Story
Gold Dust Woman gives "the gold standard of rock biographers" (the Boston Globe) his ideal topic: Nicks' work and life are equally sexy and interesting, and Davis delves deeply into each, unearthing fresh details from new, intimate interviews and interpreting them to present a rich new portrait of the star. Just as Nicks (and Lindsay Buckingham) gave Fleetwood Mac the "shot of adrenaline" they needed to become real rock stars - according to Christine McVie - Gold Dust Woman is vibrant with stories and with a life lived large and hard.

Story
Daisy is a girl coming of age in LA in the late '60s, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s 20, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things. Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne.

First celebrated for her voice, she became one of the most talked-about women in the world, whether for music and fashion, her relationship struggles, or as a walking blonde joke. But now, instead of being talked about, Jessica is doing the talking. Her audiobook shares the wisdom and inspirations she’s learned and shows the real woman behind all the pop-culture clichés. I must admit, I always knew who Jessica Simpson was and I LOVED her jeans, but I was never a “ Super Fan”. My mom is a huge fan of her clothing line. We always go shopping together and she seems to always pick up a piece of clothing that she loves, and it’s a Jessica Simpson piece! My mom will look at me with a huge smile and say “ Coley look, it’s my girl Jess!” Lol. Listening to this book by Jessica Simpson in her own words has truly made me a big fan of her for life! Her story is so inspiring and wonderfully beautiful. The songs you hear at the end are BEAUTIFUL. This is a must read, you won’t regret it!
