Story
Hidden somewhere, in nearly every major city in the world, is an underground seduction lair. And in these lairs, men trade the most devastatingly effective techniques ever invented to charm women. This is not fiction. These men really exist. They live together in houses known as Projects. And Neil Strauss, the best-selling author, spent two years living among them, using the pseudonym Style to protect his real-life identity. The result is one of the most explosive and controversial books of the year.

Compelling to read about, but really? What a bunch of douche bags. I find it hilarious that the author now markets himself as someone who went “undercover” to “infiltrate” the pick up artist community. You dedicated years of your life to the study of human nature and became a master manipulator so you can “fuck” as many “10s” as possible? With the kind of time, tenacity, and smarts that this took, you could have spent your life “fucking 8s” and solving global hunger. At least own it. Stop pretending that this was undercover journalism now that you want to be taken seriously.

This could have been a great listen but the production is terrible. The music is way too loud and overpowers the dialogue. The short sound bites, clips from old commercials and what not, come across as goofy and frenetic. They are an annoying and constant interruption to the interviews that I was looking forward to listening to. I couldnt get through the first episode. What a pity.

Story
The Cheese and the Worms is an incisive study of popular culture in the 16th century as seen through the eyes of one man, the miller known as Menocchio, who was accused of heresy during the Inquisition and sentenced to death. Carlo Ginzburg uses the trial records to illustrate the religious and social conflicts of the society in which Menocchio lived.

I was completely captivated. Its like one part historical analysis and one part detective story. Highly recommend for anyone interested in social history or medieval times.

Story
Few books have captivated the imagination and won the devotion and praise of readers and critics everywhere as has George R. R. Martin’s monumental epic cycle of high fantasy that began with A Game of Thrones. Now, in A Feast for Crows, Martin delivers the long-awaited fourth book of his landmark series, as a kingdom torn asunder finds itself at last on the brink of peace . . . only to be launched on an even more terrifying course of destruction.

Pleeeaase, Roy, re-record these last two books!!!
Reviewed: 03-25-14
What would have made A Feast for Crows better?
The narration by Roy Dotrice was unbearable. I had to stop listening to it about 1/4 of the way through.
What did you like best about this story?
I couldnt get past the horrible narration. I couldnt even follow the story.
How could the performance have been better?
Lets put it this way, it could not have been worse.
Any additional comments?
I will not be purchasing the next audiobook in this series because from what I have read in the reviews, Roy Dotrices narration is even harder to listen to.
I cant imagine for the life of me why he choose to completely ruin A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons, after he did such a wonderful job with the first three books of this series.
Please re-record these!!!
