Story
Sophronia's first year at Mademoiselle Geraldine's Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality has certainly been rousing! For one thing, finishing school is training her to be a spy. Furthermore, Sophronia got mixed up in an intrigue over a stolen device and had a cheese pie thrown at her in a most horrid display of poor manners. Now, as she sneaks around the dirigible school, eavesdropping on the teachers' quarters, she learns that there may be more to a school trip to London than is apparent at first.

This is a great set of stories. Imagination and word usage are truly artistic, humerous and brilliant. These are what is the epitome of fun, creative and delightful. I listen to these regularly and find myself bursting out laughing, giggling and in awe of the way Ms. Carriger uses words over and over again. We all need some fun and these books have them galore. The Narrator is fabulous. Great book, great narration, can't go wrong.

Excellent story

This is a totally enjoyable story that had me laughing out loud in multiple places. It also has some hard things too. The story is really well done and the Narrator does a fabulous job with the characters. Bartemaeus is a hoot. The story is richer and has nuisances because of the Narrator.

What a wonderful cast of characters. The world building was really well done too. As for the quest...a goddess, spiders galore, blood magic, facades, honor, thieving, capture, escape and more. You shouldn't be disappointed and you should be highly entertained. Thanks for a great listen. Luke Daniels...well what can I say? Him being the Narrator tipped me into buying the audio version. He's excellent, as usual.

Story
Virginia St. George - of the dragon-slaying St. George dynasty - has the brains and bloodline that define her family's legacy, but she's never been good at following in their footsteps. She doesn't have the powerful magic every St. George is born with or the sword-wielding skills of the paladins - like her sister, Celeste - who bravely combat their fire-breathing foes. Even worse, a past tragedy has left Virginia with a crippling fear of dragons...and facing arranged marriage to an aging nobleman eager for heirs.

The story was engaging. The Narrator's voice for the main character was a little too...spoiled brat-ish...when she wasn't a spoiled brat. I did finish the story so it wasn't so off-putting that I quit before it was at the end.

Story
For as long as he can remember, Blake K. Healy has seen angels and demons. He sees them as clearly as he would see you if you were standing right in front of him. He sees angels dancing in worship services and whispering words of encouragement in people's ears. He also sees demons latching on to people and perpetuating addiction and bitterness in their hearts. The Veil chronicles how Blake matured in this gifting, while overcoming the fear and confusion of what he saw.

Story
Oliver Twist is one of the most well-known stories ever told, about a young orphan who has to survive the mean streets of London before ultimately being rescued by a kindly benefactor.
But it is his friend, the Artful Dodger, who has the far more intriguing tale, filled with more adventure and excitement than anything boring Oliver could possibly get up to. Throw in some vampires and a plot to overthrow the British monarchy, and what you have is the thrilling account that Charles Dickens was too scared to share with the world.
