Story
Locked behind bars for three years, Shadow did his time, quietly waiting for the day when he could return to Eagle Point, Indiana. A man no longer scared of what tomorrow might bring, all he wanted was to be with Laura, the wife he deeply loved, and start a new life. But just days before his release, Laura and Shadow's best friend are killed in an accident. With his life in pieces and nothing to keep him tethered, Shadow accepts a job from a beguiling stranger he meets on the way home, an enigmatic man who calls himself Mr. Wednesday.

decided to snatch this up after watching the show. one of the few times I will say this and only because I feel as though my mind couldn't wrap my head around the words. the show was better in my opinion. most of the scenes were very visual and sometimes I just couldn't see what I was hearing. thankful for the works, and enjoyed the listen.

The demon, known only as "Jakerbok", is a major force of evil then and now. He taunts the listener to "Burn this audiobook" throughout this satanically autobiographical monologue, for he has embedded his very self inside each word....as a long-dormant vehicle for the dark forces to finally conquer all things good and holy in this world.

Just After Sunset - call it dusk, call it twilight, it's a time when human intercourse takes on an unnatural cast, when nothing is quite as it appears, when the imagination begins to reach for shadows as they dissipate to darkness and living daylight can be scared right out of you. It's the perfect time for Stephen King.

Trucks that punish and beautiful teen demons who seduce a young man to massacre; curses whose malevolence grows through the years; obscene presences and angels of grace - here, indeed, is a night-blooming bouquet of chills and thrills.

Story
A master storyteller at his best - the O. Henry Prize winner Stephen King delivers a generous collection of stories, several of them brand-new, featuring revelatory autobiographical comments on when, why, and how he came to write (or rewrite) each story. Magnificent, eerie, utterly compelling, these stories comprise one of King's finest gifts to his constant fan. "I made them especially for you," says King. "Feel free to examine them, but please be careful. The best of them have teeth."

I have had this title for some time, but have kept it in my back pocket for such a time as curiosity gripped me. oddly enough, not only was curiosity that gripped me but also a deep interest and fascination with death. our own mortality weighs upon us constantly. the many different facets and positions taken on pain and death in these works helped me to resolve some of my inner musings and bring some peace to restless feelings on the subject. cheapest therapy out there! thank you again mr king, thank you.
