Scholarly but held my attention!

I got more than I expected from this Audible. On the one hand, it confirmed what I suspected about humans vs. aliens. On the other hand, it has led me to inquire even more deeply about the nature of God/Source.

Story
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

What a powerful story! I loved it!

Sadness, loneliness, cruelty, and finally, fulfillment and true love. I'm going to listen to it again, in case I've missed anything, maybe just for the sheer pleasure of it.

Story
Looking at real estate isn’t usually a life-or-death situation, but an apartment open house becomes just that when a failed bank robber bursts in and takes a group of strangers hostage. The captives include a recently retired couple who relentlessly hunt down fixer-uppers to avoid the painful truth that they can’t fix their own marriage. There’s a wealthy bank director who has been too busy to care about anyone else and a young couple who are about to have their first child but can’t seem to agree on anything.

Disappointment.

Would have worked better as a play script. I couldn't finish it. However, the narration was very good.
