I’ve read Gez’s book about his time in Helmand and it was great and similar to my own experience there. This is a great story told by a man who has seen combat. I imagine the emotions and thoughts of Corvus are accurate. Anyone who has seen war will enjoy this book.

Hey Sir,
Keep them coming. I generally do not read fiction. I typically stick to non-fiction (memoirs, historical writings…etc) however, I have read the James Reese saga twice through. Outstanding books and the author nails the emotion of being in combat portraying humanity and lack of humanity in armed conflict. Miss Freddy’s Character I hope Reese eventually gets the sniper.

Great book in a great series

Jack Carr does an amazing job of capturing the emotions and scenery in the pages. As a Marine combat veteran, I can tell the author knows what is to be in an adrenaline fueled situation. The detail of the weaponry and actions of CDR. Reese immerses the reader into the story. I can smell the scent of cordite creeping from the novel. RAH
