Story
Bombs are dropping, and dead people are trying to eat him. But Weller just can’t seem to let go of the very human conspiracy that ruined his life before the world went to hell. Lucky for him, the zombie apocalypse has brought out some other undead fiends—the kind that have been living off of humanity’s scraps for centuries.

Walking Dead with a twist
Reviewed: 04-15-24
I had this audio book offered to me by Matthew Doggett and decided to listen to it because the preview mentioned vampires in the story as well. I'm pretty much burned out on walking dead (dead eyes) but thought the vampire twist might liven it up some and it did. I was paying attention though the whole story because the characters were interesting (people, vampires) but as you know walking dead are just fodder. Detective Kurt Weller is a no BS kind of guy with a sense of humor and the main vampire in the story Derrick is pretty cool as well. Due to the interaction of the many other characters with these two it kept my interest all the way through and I can recommend it as a fun listen. Performance is above normal as Matthew Crow can give voice to many different characters and you definitely think they are different peoples voices. Thank you to both the author and narrator for the creative work both of you did to make this a worthy listen.

Great Author and Narration
Reviewed: 03-22-24
Usually I read to get away from the turmoil in today's news but this book series is constantly throwing it in my face. I started Psycho Island by reading it on Kindle and then took advantage of an offer by Phil to get the audio version of 2050 Exodus. So glad I did because it made the story more real somehow due to hearing the voices of the characters. Now onto the story review:
If you are anything like me you will get pissed off at references in the book that relate to our current political environment. The mere mention of the most UN-trusted news channel which is CNN still being around in 2050 was enough to make me want to stop listening but somehow I kept going and found that I still like the story and have a desire to find out how the series turns out. The only other time I had this kind of reaction to a fictional story was with a 1957 book called Atlas Shrugged. This series seems to have many of the concepts that Ayn Rand used even though the situations are different. I guess my point is we as human beings are slaves to our nature as evidenced by thousands of years of history and our nature will never change. I will continue to read Phil M. Williams books because he's an excellent writer and the content makes me think while still being entertained.

I first read this book when I was a teenager and have more recently (now 61) listened to it with Audible. It captivated my attention all over again and brought me back to a world that no longer exists but did at one time. Story has all the human behaviors and emotions packed into it and will not disappoint.“Audible 20 Review Sweepstakes Entry”

Story
In a scrap heap within an abandoned factory, the greatest invention in history lies dormant and unused. By what fatal error of judgment has its value gone unrecognized, its brilliant inventor punished rather than rewarded for his efforts? In defense of those greatest of human qualities that have made civilization possible, one man sets out to show what would happen to the world if all the heroes of innovation and industry went on strike.

Timeless and as relevent today as ever.

For a book that was written back in 1954 it is considered Ayn Rand's best work. Scott Brick has done an excellent job of bringing the book to life with emotion and reason coming through his voice that reflects the authors characters. I've read somewhere this is the 4th most popular book in the world so do yourself a favor and add it to your bucket list. At worst it will make you think about the role of the producers and looters in this world. The bonus is a love story based on respect.

Story
One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

What made the experience of listening to Throne of Novoxos the most enjoyable?
I read the book first then listened to audible as a refresher to the third book in series soon at Amazon for kindle. I enjoyed the voices of characters in audible version and it brought me back into the story.
What about Rachel Hine’s performance did you like?
Pleasant accent
Any additional comments?
I am a avid reader of books and listen to stories on walks, driving and yard work. I really enjoy Tyler Chase's writing as she draws you into the story and keeps you there.
