Excellent third book of the series. Not perfect (some loose ends) but who cares.
The author definitely has improved his writing of this series.

In a near future, the air pollution is so bad that everyone wears gas masks. The infant mortality rate is soaring, and birth defects, new diseases, and physical ailments of all kinds abound. The water is undrinkable - unless you're poor and have no choice. Large corporations fighting over profits from gas masks, drinking water, and clean food tower over an ineffectual, corrupt government.

Disclaimer: I am a Junkie from when Scott Sigler first started podcasting his books every week, for free. There may be a halo effect here.
This book is a sequel to “Earthcore”. You should really read that one first. Like that book, “Mt. FitZroy” has shady government types, para-military groups, aliens, lots of death-dealing tech both real and imagined. And people who don’t play well with others.
Mix that together and you have a modern shoot’em up.
The only negative I might have is that the action and violence get a bit cartoony. But who cares. This is a fun book.
