Absolutely loved this book. It could have been written by Jane Austen herself. Can't wait to read more by this author. Extremely well-written and engrossing.

Well-written story with relatable characters and lots of great details. I only wish it was longer. Can't wait to read more from this author!

Frankie Corzo performs beautifully in this sequel to The Spanish Daughter. Gisela Chipe does a good job from Camila's perspective. But, Johnny Rey Diaz provides a stiff reading by comparison. He could have provided a stronger performance. What's worse, is that the author didn't resolve the story lines well and the plot was weak. Things turned out differently than the reader expected, and not in a good way. SPOILER ALERT: if Puri did not love Martin enough to marry him, why did she go to Columbia? As she herself said, she could have found another cacao supplier. And, if she didn't go to Columbia, things would have ended better for other characters. It seems there was only reason why the author wanted Puri to go to Columbia and that could have happened without going there and without bringing the other characters into it. The other characters' storylines could have been managed better by writing two different books with stronger plots.

Frankie Corzo really brings this interesting story to life. Her performance is everything one would hope for in an audio book. The story would be better with more descriptions of the setting and places the main character goes.

This is the best book I've ever listened to. The author doesn't perform or just read the book. I felt as though Arnold Schwarzenegger was speaking directly to me, like we were having a conversation. He even chuckles I'm appropriate places. He is a master storyteller. I was riveted throughout. The book is a combination memoir and self-help book. I highly recommend it. I'm a fan for life!

The violence, especially against children, was difficult. But, the story was gripping and scary and depressing in it's realism. Filled with great details, elements and many storylines that converge at the end and are well tied up. A cautionary tale. Bohem is a master storyteller!
