This is the way the world ends. On a warm summer night in New York City, the apocalypse begins. Within days, the deadly Medusa virus is sweeping the globe like a wildfire, pushing humanity to the brink of extinction. Good story, Average narration.

I just recently started listening to post apocalyptic books. I thought this was an interesting take on the genre. There's no mystery to how the plague start or what the cause is. I liked that aspect of the story, I found the characters interesting and pretty well developed.
The narration was pretty average. It wasn't bad, I'm just used to narrators putting a little more effort into different character voices. It felt like he was reading the book not performing it.
All-in-all I'd say The Immune is worth a listen.

Disappointed

The series has been at least comical and mildly entertaining. Until you decided to get on your environmental soapbox. There's enough propaganda about climate change in the liberal media. I don't need it when I'm trying to get entertainment.

Story
The philosopher asks: "Faced with the mutually exclusive choice between moral principle and the survival of your family, which is the correct path?" Philosophers love to pose such questions, and in the day-to-day struggle, such thinkers rarely attain to a level of relevance rivaling that of the simple hunger pang. Their careful considerations dissipate under the leveled gun. We do not feel their disapproving gaze when The Others draw near. When the world sends doom, the survivors do not hesitate. The survivors do what is necessary.

Fantastic!

Josh Gayou and R.C. Bray are like Chocolate and peanut butter, peas and carrots, corn and Lima beans,..you get the idea. C4 is an amazing conclusion (or is it?) to a awesome series. Josh has very quickly become one of my favorite all time authors. I can't recommend every book in this series enough. As for RC Bray I've listened to quit a few of his works but I have to say his work on this series is by far my favorite. His performance of Gibbs and Clay are top notch.

Story
The survivors have come to settle in the mountains of Wyoming, fighting day in and day out to establish a home for themselves in a near-empty world. Things are good at first; scavenging is a workable, short-term solution that seems to be providing all they need. But they know that it’s only a matter of time before the food runs out. They need to scramble to find a sustainable solution before the clock stops, and for a little handful of people up in the mountains, the odds don’t seem very favorable.

A retired group of legendary mercenaries get the band back together for one last impossible mission in this award-winning debut epic fantasy. Clay Cooper and his band were once the best of the best, the most feared and renowned crew of mercenaries this side of the Heartwyld. Their glory days long past, the mercs have grown apart and grown old, fat, drunk, or a combination of the three. Then an ex-bandmate turns up at Clay's door with a plea for help - the kind of mission that only the very brave or the very stupid would sign up for. It's time to get the band back together.
