Story
Love had cut me in so many ways I wondered if my heart could take any more. But then I saw him. He was my boss. A single father. And to top it off he was insolent. I didn’t intend to want him, that wasn’t my objective. But somehow I couldn’t say no. We shouldn’t have worked, but like witchcraft, I was under his spell. My heart’s been destroyed before. I’m not sure it can handle heartbreak again.

I enjoyed the story but unfortunately not the narration. I felt that at times the way he was portraying the women was as if they're very flippant or even... inebriated maybe?
And at times his voice was reminiscent of Shaggy from Scooby-Doo. Not my favorite but the story was good.

Story
I didn’t mean to say I was engaged to a hot billionaire–it just slipped out. In my defense, I’d had a really bad haircut, a really strong drink, and I was trying to save face in front of the Mean Girl at my high school reunion. Lucky for me, I happen to know a hot billionaire. Hutton French and I have been friends forever, and even though big social gatherings are not his thing, I called him from the coat closet and begged him for a favor–show up and play my fake fiancé for the night. Except that word of our engagement spreads like wildfire.

Story
Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

I read some of the reviews and was prepared for trash. It was awesome! There were complaints about the male voice actor but I thoroughly enjoyed his portrayal, especially of Diesel's crazy. lol
Roxy was just a little badass! I enjoyed how her character was written. 19 hours of listening well spent.

Terrible narrator

If you're going to narrate, learn how say the main character's name right. That really took away from the story for me.

Ghostwriter?
Reviewed: 12-02-19
Every time the word "penis" was used it just threw me completely out of the story. Was this a Ghost writer? I don't recall that ever being used in previous novels in this series.

Story
He woke deep within the ground, and the first sensation he felt was hunger. An overwhelming hunger for blood that demanded satisfaction. But as he hunted the dark streets of Paris for prey, a voice called to him, soothing, calming, giving him the strength to control his craving. Francesca Del Ponce was a healer, a woman who radiated goodness as powerfully as the sun did light.

Honestly he wasn't my favorite narrator. His pitch is too high to be considered Carpathian in my opinion. Also, his pronunciation of Lucian was not good. Great story as per usual though.
