Story
Haven operative Luther Brinkman has been sent into the wilderness of the Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee to locate escaped felon Cole Jacoby, a mentally unstable bank robber. Supposedly, Jacoby hid more than ten million dollars from his last heist before he was captured — and rather mysteriously escaped federal custody. And once Brinkman finds Jacoby, the agent is left severely wounded, with no way to convey his location to Haven.

Throughly enjoyed the book, which was a light mystery. No high tension & gore, but a nice twist. Loved the cats and their part in solving the mystery. Can’t wait to read rest of series.

I didn't care for the way the ending leaves you hanging. I didn't like it in the first book and like it even less in the second. Other than that it is a enjoyable book.

I have followed Ted Bell since his first novel Hawke, I have never been disappointed. Phantom kept me reading till the end. I love his leading man Hawk and the way he gets out of the most dangerous situation. I loved Hawk's new ship and the sea battles. The reader was a joy to listen to and the story was complex but yet I didn't get lost.
