Classic Grisham with a tragic sports twist

I could not help but to think of the loss to the basketball world and to this life of the once in a generation star and awesome young man Len Kevin Bias. It made me re-mourn the pain his family and the millions of fans felt all over the world in 1986.

Story
In this remarkable recording, C. S. Lewis shows why millions of readers have acclaimed him the greatest spokesman for Christianity in the 20th century. In a resonant, baritone voice, Lewis explores the nature of the four Greek words that are translated love in English: storge (affection), philia (friendship), eros (sexual or romantic love) and agape (selfless love).

Story
When poet and writer Joy Davidman began writing letters to C. S. Lewis - known as Jack - she was looking for spiritual answers, not love. Love, after all, wasn’t holding together her crumbling marriage. Everything about New Yorker Joy seemed ill-matched for an Oxford professor and the beloved writer of The Chronicles of Narnia, yet their minds bonded over their letters.

Deeply moving, inspiring, heart-pausing, and dare I say delicious
Reviewed: 12-14-18
Patti tells a story from the heart that no theologian is either capable of or dares to go this deep. The virtual reality of the story of Helen Joy Lewis is full of beauty, hope, and a love that most will never understand let alone experience.
Do your a heart an eternal favor to understand Jack and Joy beyond the sound bites and the shallow water cooler trivia to impress educated acquaintances - read and listen to this book. It will grow a spring of insights into the God Jack and Joy got to know so intimately in the last years of their lives.
