Story
Portland is famous for its rain, hipsters, craft beers...and coffee. Sage Caplin has high hopes for her coffee cart, Ground Rules, which she runs with her business partner, Harley - a genius at roasting beans and devising new blends. That's essential in a city where locals have intensely strong opinions about cappuccino versus macchiato - especially in the case of one of Sage's very first customers. Sage finds the man's body in front of her cart, a fatal slash across his neck.

Enjoyable with pretty decent narration. More or less a regular murder mystery. It's something easy to listen to while focusing on other things or tasks. I would recommend.

Not the most "Spicy" book I've listened to for sure, but a sweet story with an interesting plot. There were times it dragged but overall, a good listen. Abby Craden is a great narrarator and I almost always enjoy listening to her.

This story wasn't what I was expecting. I stayed very engaged and the ending certainly caught me a little off guard! The performance was wonderful and fit the tone of the story very well. Overall an extremely good listen!

Story
No one knows where the Tufa came from or how they ended up in the mountains of east Tennessee. When the first Europeans came to the Smoky Mountains, the Tufa were already there. Dark-haired and enigmatic, they live quietly in the hills and valleys of Cloud County, their origins lost to history. But there are clues in their music, hidden in the songs they have passed down for generations.

Enchanting!

I read this book several years ago and it was a story that always stuck with me. Being from Appalachia, there are just enough elements to this story, that makes you wonder, could there be some truth to this? Overall an enjoyable story and a pretty quick listen. The only criticism for me is that I wish some of the "songs" the story talked about were actually sung, instead of just read aloud.

Narration was great, storyline decent, could have been a little more fleshed out. Overall, something to listen to when you don't have to really concentrate. Enjoyable nonetheless.
