Story
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

It’s nice to hear his side of the story in a well written book. Very touching and honest account of his personal experience. Hopefully it will remind people that we all live within the confines of the human experience. “Do unto others what you want for yourself.” I’m personally relieved that he is holding the press accountable for their actions. I wish someone had done that for his mother. Maybe she would still be with us. I am sure she is very proud of Harry and his family.

Story
Mike Rinder’s parents began taking him to their local Scientology center when he was five years old. After high school, he signed a billion-year contract and was admitted into Scientology’s elite inner circle, the Sea Organization. Brought to founder L. Ron Hubbard’s yacht and promised training in Hubbard’s most advanced techniques, Rinder was instead put to work swabbing the decks. Still, Rinder bought into the doctrine that his personal comfort was secondary to the higher purpose of Hubbard’s world-saving mission.

This book was well written and audio produced. The fight for the minds of people, their labor, and their hearts are a universal battle all of us face. This microcosm of Scientology is like a metaphor for what people struggle with in the bigger picture of life. Are you going to do what everyone else does if they pressure you through friends, family, work place culture, community, or are you going to think for yourself no matter how hard it is? This is a balance we are all grappling with every day in much less extreme circumstances than in Scientology. The main theme of this book is applicable to each person whether you are dealing with a cult or not.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

Chapter 12 is out of order. Audible should fix.

It is sort of an older series so I was hesitant but it is excellent and gets better with each additional book.

Story
David Copperfield is the story of a boy growing to maturity in the affairs of the world and of the heart, surrounded by some of Dickens' most memorable characters: David's eccentric great-aunt, Miss Betsey Trotwood; the ever-optimistic Mr Micawber; jolly Peggotty and her willing husband Barkis; the charming Steerforth; the ever so 'umble Uriah Heep; and the foolishly innocent Dora. But will David finally find happiness with the faithful Agnes Wickfield, whom he has known since childhood?

Dramatised version is a treasure

I bought this version of the book on tape years ago and loved it. It's one of the few books I've listened to over and over. I've searched everywhere for a cd version and am thrilled to find it here on Audible. The voice actors, the presentation, the overall performance including sound effects and all is a treat. The characters come to life. Though the story is abridged, it doesn't feel like it has been shortened. It feels like it has extra depth.
