The story is presented in the voice of the guileless Sofia as she navigates love, marriage, motherhood, and the challenges of her life. Her naive but simple & honest voice pull the reader into feeling a deeper story than one she even has the capacity to convey. I enjoyed the writing and the story.

Engaging romcom. Love an intelligent FMC. Narrators vocal fry tarnished her otherwise strong performance. Teddy Hamilton casting for MMC was not a match for the character.

Bc it could be easily remedied, I must note the severe vocal fry of our FMC narrator. I almost DNF due to that and the fact the story could have used some editing and been 30% shorter. Not a standout in the genre. Quinn has some great books. This is not one of them.

Solid female narration but…

DNF. In my opinion the language and themes felt juvenile. I was turned off when ‘beaver’ went from a joke to the proper noun of choice and the constant reference to endowment felt like a lazy attempt to make their encounters hot. The male narrator’s delivery sounded like a stereotypical f*boy and made it hard to believe any of the redeeming qualities of the MMC. Plenty of “spice” but more like simple meat and potatoes instead of beef bourguignon. No sauce, nothing to savor.

Another solid story by Quinn. Lighter on spice. Male narrator made listening a challenge. Better to read book/use kindle edition for this one.

If you love a protagonist that refers to the love of his life’s genitals as a “snatch”, this book is for you. This gem also calls men who fall in love or behave less than a brute “vaginas”. And if a book published in the 21st century using “gay” as a derogatory adjective is your jam, this book is for you!
As a frequent reader of this genre, I have no issue with the use of sexual and adult language. There are all tastes and kinks but the barely developed characters and shallow love story further submarine this attempt.
Great narrator. And the sex kinda was hot, if you can ignore a male lead who thinks infatuation with one woman’s “snatch” is equivalent to love.

Finally, adults communicate

I’m having a hard time w this genre bc there is always some bs conflict as a result of the couples not openly discussing conflict. “He did something I didn’t understand and instead of asking him, I’m going to assume he had poor intentions so I will avoid him as long as my vagina allows me to” isn’t a trope you have to tolerate for the entirety of this book. Calling this book predictable as if the rest of the genre isn’t (they all end up together) is silly. I found this book still be sexy, and has the tension required for this type of read. For this unique approach, I have to give 5 stars. Immaturity isn’t a pre-req for conflict. Couples have conflicts come up even when communicating like adults, I would love more books that feature emotionally mature characters.

Great story to pass time while doing chores and running errands. Enough suspense to keep it interesting but not so much that I couldn’t take breaks when needed (to sleep for example :)

Every plot and trope in one story

Not for me. Almost DNF but hung on waiting for this book to redeem itself given the rating. 4+ stars on this made me question my fellow readers for the first time. The dialogue is painful. It’s like drinking honey. “You’re the best. No you’re the best” type dialogue. Do we find out these characters are cyborgs in the next book? I just can’t. Not remotely natural conversation.
Then work in the lack of editing and it was a rough read. How many different plot points and romance tropes can you stuff into one book? Untouched Perfection tries to take them all on at once. And if that’s not enough, cram in a little bit of thriller and a cliffhanger. What the what?!

Poor narration (one character is supposed to have an accent, but it comes and goes). Interesting concept/storyline but generally never felt engaged by the writing. Dialog was a snooze, not sure why this is being touted as humorous.
