12 Hours Wasted.

This book dragged on and on. I skipped chapters 9-14 and was still able to follow the storyline. The relationship between Bates and Coreen was weird. He seemed to be very controlling, and she allowed it. She shouldn't have kept the secret from him. I didn't understand her thought process. She was raped and did she really think he would have blamed her? Don't waste you time with this book.

Story
Trust Fall isn't your typical 9-to-5 comedy. Created by Claire Friedman and featuring a cast that reads like a humor hall of fame—Colin Jost, Wanda Sykes, Chris Parnell, Neil Patrick Harris, Cecily Strong, and more—this is a sidesplitting adventure in the corporate circus.

I enjoyed the story and the performers. Wanda Sykes is always funny. Give it a listen, you won't regret it.

Sara King has nothing, save for her secrets and the baby in her belly, as she boards the bus to Memphis, hoping to outrun her past in Chicago. She is welcomed with open arms by Mama Sugar, a kindly matriarch and owner of the popular boardinghouse The Scarlet Poplar. Like many cities in early 1960s America, Memphis is still segregated, but change is in the air. News spreads of the Freedom Riders. Across the country, people like Martin Luther King Jr. are leading the fight for equal rights.

I just wanted the whining to stop.
Reviewed: 09-13-23
I kept looking at the time remaining for this book. It was soo much whining from the main character. I know she went through a lot when she was in Chicago, but she had people who loved her, but she wouldn't let them in to help her. I finished the book, only because I paid $8.00. Save your $8.00 or credit for another book.
