She writes some of the best historical fiction, and it is wonderfully voiced. I enjoyed the point of view chapters from each storyline, giving me insights into the old customs and ways of the island. Weaving its traditions and folklore into the conquest of the north during the campaign. Don’t kill the seals.

Why the monsters in Hollywood don’t make this into a TV series or set of movies? A great one off. A cast of characters that you instantaneously take to with enthusiasm. Continuously fast paced, and nicely set up with a gripping plot.. you and your boys do some dirty shit back in the day, and you have always felt guilty for it and looked over your shoulder, as you have all went your separate ways you have all prepared for the day they come for you, set in the Roman Christian era this revenge thriller will check all of the boxes for a good listen. Perfect narration and proper character distinction

Very excited to get my hand on the next installment of my favorite two Romans, I could see about a quarter weigh in where the book was going, and was wondering why it was taking so long, it’s back loaded and ends abruptly. Still a good story, still moves our boys along in life, but it’s a cliffhanger.

The betrayal and intrigue in this episode or installment is ripe and juicy, most of them you can figure out before hand as you proceed, this one left the details and culmination at the end, leaving a good story throughout. When your friend betrays you and ask that Timoni about it, when you have to turn to a general for help, when the city is in disarray… The Finder finds a way
