Story
Olivia LeClair's experiment with speed dating is not going well. First there was the nasty encounter with the date from hell who tried to murder her and now the mysterious Harlan Rancourt - long believed dead - sits down at her table and tells her she's the only one who can help him locate the legendary Vortex lab. This is not what Olivia had in mind when she signed up for the Four Event Success Guaranteed package offered by the dating agency. She doesn't have much choice, though, because her psychic investigation firm works for the mysterious Foundation.

A trilogy or the same book three times
Reviewed: 04-08-22
I am normally a JAK fan but this trilogy, and this book in particular, disappointed. They felt like a regurgitation of the Scargill Cove novels, and each book in the series was repetitive.

This podcast will provoke thought. You may listen or re-listen to the music they talk about. You will load up your Netflix or playlists with the performers they reminisce about. The conversations are timely for 2020, but they are timeless, too. I loved all 6 episodes and I hope there will be more.

Not bad, but really relies on the premise

Some really good parts - but by invoking Nora Roberts you are setting a really high bar that the story and the characters just don't quite make it over.

And . . . stop pausing!!
Reviewed: 04-08-15
I enjoy this series. It's fresh and creative. I just wish the narrator wouldn't keep putting really long pauses after every "and". Okay, the author could use that sentence cadence less often, but that's her voice. Read through it like a person would think it or say it.

I love the Ghostwalkers but this one is a skip. Wyatt is not consistent with the character in Night Game. This Wyatt is selfish and jealous. Trap is the more interesting character. And baby vipers? Hmmmm.

Not a deep read, but a fun listen. The narrator's brogue is appalling. Would have been better with a different narrator.

Before she was at the top of her game

I love Jane Ann Krentz. I think this one was written before she was a master of her genre, though. Later novels feature strong men and women who are also vulnerable and imperfect, which makes them very real.
