Story
From the woman who is credited for launching what we know as the celebrity focused, “brand” driven, social media obsessed popular culture of today, comes an honest and surprising memoir that reckons with that truth, and shows that there is so much more to Paris Hilton than you might believe. This extended edition includes a bonus chapter detailing her motherhood journey.

Girls, you need to read this

I loved everything about it, and I'm so sad it's over. I've always been inspired by Paris, but I could not stop listening to this. I love her more than ever, and I feel so many parts of her story, deeply in my heart. Paris will always be one of my heroes

Story
Brought to Casey as a short-term emergency placement, 14-year-old Adrianna arrives with nothing but her gratitude. Having turned herself in to a social services office some 100 miles away, she has no possessions, no English and, apparently, no history - not that she's willing to share, anyway. She is a beautiful young Polish girl, with the bearing of a ballerina, but is terrified, malnourished and unwell.

Story
Growing up on the Navajo Indian Reservation, David Crow and his siblings idolized their dad. Tall, strong, smart, and brave, the self-taught Cherokee regaled his family with stories of his World War II feats. But as time passed, David discovered the other side of Thurston Crow, the ex-con with his own code of ethics that justified cruelty, violence, lies - even murder. A shrewd con artist with a genius IQ, Thurston intimidated David with beatings to coerce him into doing his criminal bidding. David's mom, too mentally ill to care for her children, couldn't protect him.

One of my favorite memoirs
Reviewed: 01-29-23
This book touched me so much that when it was over, when I even started to feel like I was getting near the end of it, I almost got depressed.
I found myself in so many of these pages, and found a companion in David. I saw my deepest personal fears in David's mother, and the darkest side of myself and his father.
I finished this book and questioned everything! It was all totally worth it!

Story
Olivia McAfee knows what it feels like to start over. Her picture-perfect life—living in Boston, married to a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon, raising their beautiful son, Asher—was upended when her husband revealed a darker side. She never imagined that she would end up back in her sleepy New Hampshire hometown, living in the house she grew up in and taking over her father’s beekeeping business. Lily Campanello is familiar with do-overs, too. When she and her mom relocate to Adams, New Hampshire, for her final year of high school, they both hope it will be a fresh start.

I learned so much
Reviewed: 01-09-23
It was wild, because as I started listening and the story started unfolding, I realized that it seemed to take place within an hour of where I currently live. I learned a lot about honey, including historical uses, and that I should make cocktails with it. Lol I learned things I didn't know about the transgender perspective. I found myself listening to the entire epilogue, and being fascinated with the story the two authors told about how the book came to be. Make sure not to skip that part.
Sometimes it all starts with a dream, followed by a tweet.
